Prepare for customs clearance abroad – duties, broker selection, restricted parts, and how to avoid port delays on Indian export shipments.
What you will gain from this guide
- Importer of record must be established before goods arrive
- Duty rates vary widely – research HS code locally
- Incomplete invoices cause holds and storage fees
- Some countries require pre-shipment inspection certificates
Buying from Auto Junction is only half the journey – smooth import clearance at your border determines total landed cost and delivery time. Planning customs before you pay the proforma avoids expensive surprises.
Who this helps: Overseas workshops, importers, and distributors sourcing genuine parts from India.
Before you order
- Confirm import licence requirements for commercial importers
- Get duty estimate from local customs broker using HS code
- Verify if VAT/GST registration needed at destination
- Check restricted list for used parts, batteries, or hazmat oils
At port of entry
Broker submits invoice, packing list, airway bill, and import declaration. Duties and taxes paid before release. Delays occur when weights, values, or descriptions disagree across documents – we align all three at origin.
We also export genuine spares from Bikaner for overseas customers – Force, Mahindra, Lumax, JHI and related lines, with invoice and packing list handled on our side.
Common questions
Can Auto Junction ship DDP?
Incoterms are agreed per order. Most exports are EXW/FOB from India with buyer arranging freight; discuss DAP/DDP with our team case by case.
Are used parts exportable?
We primarily export new genuine parts. Used component export has additional restrictions – enquire separately.
Send your part list, quantities and destination country to request an export quote. We will confirm stock and come back with pricing and lead time.
